I use to Hate Avocados
I personally use to hate avocados! I use to think the taste was so plain and I wasn't a fan of the texture. Then I started doing research on nutrition and which foods had the most nutrition. In most of all the books I have read, avocado was ranked almost #1 highest quality food every single time! So I decided to give it a chance! I started eating avocados more often with my meals. To be honest they didn't taste that bad especially with a variety of other foods on my plate to compliment the taste.
I was already 6 months in eating avocados. Then I found out guacamole was just mashed avocados (yes I know it was so obvious!..) and thats when I started getting creative!
How I Developed this Simple Recipe
I have been reading some amazing books and taking nutrition classes and I come up with this very easy simple recipe. The ingredients I put in the guacamole are combination of foods I use to eat separately as snacks or with different foods throughout the day. These foods were what pretty much fuel me with almost all the proper nutrition I need to optimally function.
- 1-2 soft AVOCADOS 🥑🥑
- Juice 1/2 Lemon
- Pinch of Himalayan Salt
- NOW BLEND altogether (mashed or blender)
- 1/4 cup of Red Onion - Chopped
- 1/4 cup of Pecans & Walnuts - Chopped
- MIX altogether
Typically guacamole is eaten as a dipping sauce, but I usually eat my guacamole as an actual side to my food dishes. Its so filling and has a solid mix that you can eat it along with other foods. I usually eat it for breakfast along with sautéed kale and eggs. Having high quality fats in the morning for breakfast I believe is optimal for brain function and energy for throughout the day!
